The Department Biology is located in the southeastern area of Erlangen, the southern campus of the university, called the \u201cBiologikum\u201d. The Chair of Cell Biology is located in buildings A1 and A2 on level 00 in the \u201cBiologikum\u201d. The secretariat is located in room 00.370. You can reach the \u201cBiologikum\u201d by car or bus, via train or plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coming by car<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From the A3 motorway south of Erlangen, take the exit towards \u201eB4\/Erlangen-Tennenlohe\u201c and then follow the \u201e\u00c4u\u00dferen N\u00fcrnberger Stra\u00dfe\u201c to the exit towards \u201eGr\u00e4fenberg\/Erlangen-Ost\u201c. Continue following the signs towards the \u201eUniversit\u00e4t S\u00fcdgel\u00e4nde\u201c onto Kurt-Schumacher-Stra\u00dfe (the second exit at the roundabout). Follow the street and turn left at the first traffic light towards \u201cUniversit\u00e4t Biologie\/Physik\u201d. You can reach the \u201cBiologikum\u201d when you take the second street on the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can reach the parking garage (under the greenhouses) via Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Stra\u00dfe (first street on the left). Leave the parking garage via the lecture hall level. Follow the path past the lecture halls until you reach display cases with shells. There you turn right over a transition. You pass a board with stamps and walk through a planted connection to the next building (A2). The first hallway on your left takes you to the secretary\u2019s office (after the glass door, first door on the left).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coming by train<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Erlangen can easily be reached by train. A train schedule is available on the website of the Deutsche Bahn AG. Most visitors arrive in Erlangen via Nuremberg. From Nuremberg Central Station (N\u00fcrnberg Hauptbahnhof) trains with destination Erlangen depart at least once an hour. The train ride from Nuremberg to Erlangen takes 15 to 20 minutes. You may take a taxi from the train station in Erlangen to the \u201eBiologikum\u201c (about 15 min).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Option 1:<\/strong> By bus from Erlangen main station<br>From Erlangen main station you can take bus lines 287 or 293 in the direction of \u201eSebaldussiedlung\u201c in approx. 15 \u2013 20 minutes to the final stop \u201cSebaldussiedlung\u201d on \u201eErwin-Rommel-Stra\u00dfe\u201c. A short footpath (signposted) takes you to the \u201cBiologikum\u201d. Follow the path until you reach the building via an external staircase. The fourth hallway on your right takes you to the secretary\u2019s office (after the glass door, first door on the left).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Option 2:<\/strong> By public transport from Nuremberg Central Station<br>Take subway line 3 towards \u201eNordwestring\u201c to the \u201cFriedrich-Ebert-Platz\u201d stop. There you change to tram number 4 or 10 and go to the final stop \u201cAm Wegfeld\u201d. From there take bus line 20 to Erlangen and get off at the \u201cStaudtstra\u00dfe\u201d stop. Then come to us with directions via the parking garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coming by plane<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Biologicum can be reached from Nuremberg Airport by taxi in 15 \u2013 20 minutes. Or you can take bus line 33 to Nuremberg \u201cAm Wegfeld\u201d and then take bus line 20 to Erlangen and get off at the \u201cStaudtstra\u00dfe\u201d stop.
